Whereas, on September 5, 2007, Corporal Keith A. Nurnberg, of Genoa City,
4Wisconsin, a member of the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade
5Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, died as a result of wounds received during
6enemy action in Iraq; and

Whereas, Corporal Nurnberg was a 1999 graduate of McHenry West High
8School and enlisted in the United States Army in 2003, carrying on the tradition of
9his great grandfather, who fought in World War I, his grandfather, who fought in
10World War II, and his father, who fought in the Vietnam War; and

Whereas, Corporal Nurnberg provided faithful and honorable service to the
12people of the state of Wisconsin and the people of the United States, by serving in his
13second tour of duty in the Middle East; and

1Whereas, Corporal Nurnberg made his family, his friends, and his country
2extremely proud of his courage and bravery as he made the ultimate sacrifice in
3service of his nation in fighting for the course of freedom; and

Whereas, Corporal Nurnberg was laid to rest in Pell Lake, Wisconsin, on
5Saturday, September 15, 2007; now, therefore, be it

6Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the legislature of
7the state of Wisconsin commemorates the remarkable life of Corporal Keith A.
8Nurnberg and extends its deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and colleagues;
9and, be it further

10Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall transmit a copy of this joint
11resolution to Keith Nurnberg's wife, Tonya Nurnberg, to his parents, Alan and Barb
12Nurnberg, and to his siblings, Christy Hamman, Melissa Tesmer, and Kimmy
13Nurnberg.
