AB37,1,3 1An Act relating to: requiring the Wisconsin Economic Development
2Corporation to organize trade and marketing forums for Tier I, Tier II, and Tier
3III manufacturers and making an appropriation.

This bill requires the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to allocate
$100,000 in the 2012-13 fiscal year to conduct trade and marketing forums in this
state for the purpose of promoting and developing business relationships among Tier
I, Tier II, and Tier III manufacturers.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB37,1 4Section 1. Nonstatutory provisions.
AB37,1,55 (1) In this Section:
AB37,1,76 (a) "Tier I manufacturer" means a business that produces or distributes a
7product that is for sale or sold to a consumer.

1(b) "Tier II manufacturer" means a business operating in this state that
2manufactures a product that is used as a part in a product produced or distributed
3by a Tier I manufacturer.
AB37,2,64 (c) "Tier III manufacturer" means a business operating in this state that
5manufactures a product that is used as a part in a product produced by a Tier II
6manufacturer.
AB37,2,147 (2) Of the moneys appropriated to the Wisconsin Economic Development
8Corporation under section 20.192 (1) (r) of the statutes for the 2012-13 fiscal year,
9the corporation shall allocate $100,000 to conduct trade and marketing forums in
10this state to bring together representatives of Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III
11manufacturers operating in this state to promote and develop business relationships
12among those manufacturers. The corporation may work together with nonprofit
13manufacturing associations and manufacturing assistance networks to accomplish
14the objectives of this subsection.
AB37,2,2115 (3) The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation shall deposit any
16proceeds it collects in connection with trade and marketing forums under subsection
17(2) in an account established by the corporation that is dedicated to a manufacturer
18marketing assistance program to conduct marketing activities on behalf of, and to
19promote the manufacturing services of and products created by, Tier II and Tier III
20manufacturers. This subsection is void if 2013 Assembly Bill .... (LRB -0859/2) is not
21enacted.
