AB49,1,2 1An Act relating to: increasing the funding for grants to provide skills
2enhancement services and making an appropriation.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill increases the funding during the 2013-15 biennium for grants to
community action agencies to provide skills enhancement services to certain
low-income individuals.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB49,1 3Section 1. Fiscal changes.
AB49,2,64 (1) Community action agencies; skills enhancement grants. In the schedule
5under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of
6children and families under section 20.437 (2) (fr) of the statutes, as affected by the
7acts of 2013, the dollar amount is increased by $250,000 for the first fiscal year of the
8fiscal biennium in which this subsection takes effect to provide funding for skills

1enhancement grants under section 49.265 (4) (cm) of the statutes. In the schedule
2under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of
3children and families under section 20.437 (2) (fr) of the statutes, as affected by the
4acts of 2013, the dollar amount is increased by $250,000 for the second fiscal year of
5the fiscal biennium in which this subsection takes effect to provide funding for skills
6enhancement grants under section 49.265 (4) (cm) of the statutes.
AB49,2 7Section 2. Effective date.
AB49,2,88 (1) This act takes effect on July 1, 2013.
