This resolution requires the committee on assembly organization to
immediately appoint a task force on the middle class, consisting of an equal number
of members of the majority and minority parties, to study and recommend ways to
increase average household income in Wisconsin. From 2009 to 2013, in Wisconsin,
average household income fell by $8,900, which was the largest decline in the United
States. The task force must study and identify family-supporting employment
opportunities in Wisconsin and propose ways to increase employment opportunities.
The task force must deliver its findings to the assembly before January 1, 2017.
