This bill allows a person who is licensed as a physician in another state or
territory of the United States or a foreign country or province to practice as a
physician at a camp in this state for up to 20 working days a year if the licensure
standards in the jurisdiction where the physician is licensed are substantially
equivalent to the requirements of this state.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

AB870,2,2 4448.033 Temporary practice at camps. Notwithstanding s. 448.03 (1) (a),
5a person who is licensed to practice medicine and surgery by another state or
6territory of the United States or a foreign country or province whose standards are
7substantially equivalent to the requirements for licensure as a physician under s.
8448.04 (1) (a) may practice medicine and surgery at a camp in this state to provide

1treatment to campers and staff for not more than 20 working days in any year
2without holding a license granted under this subchapter.
