AJR102,1,4 Whereas, generations of Wisconsin students have benefitted from the legacy of excellence Wisconsin teachers have demonstrated; and

AJR102,1,7 Whereas, that legacy is in good hands with the teachers in today's Wisconsin schools, who have earned the trust of the state's families, communities, and businesses in preparing students for enduring success; and

AJR102,1,11 Whereas, building on the commitment Wisconsin teachers demonstrated in earning the educational background to be entrusted with a classroom, teachers adapt constantly, value and rise to professional standards, and exceed expectations regularly; and

AJR102,1,15 Whereas, teaching excellence is vital to the state's economic success and the future of our communities and, working closely with parents and families, Wisconsin teachers are key to students' preparation for achievement in careers, college, and life; and

AJR102,2,2 Whereas, Wisconsin teachers have earned our gratitude for their hard work, dedication, and proven record of success; now, therefore, be it

AJR102,2,5 Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the Wisconsin Legislature joins families, students, and education colleagues in recognizing May 7 through May 11, 2018, as Teacher Appreciation Week.
