SJR100,1,53 Whereas, Anthony J. Borostowski served the state of Wisconsin loyally and
4honorably as a State Trooper in the Wisconsin State Patrol since 2014 and was a
5member of the Wisconsin State Patrol's 60th Recruit Class; and
SJR100,1,76 Whereas, his service as a State Trooper was preceded by his service in the
7Wisconsin Army National Guard since 2004 as a Staff Sergeant; and
SJR100,1,98 Whereas, Anthony was deployed to Kuwait with the 2nd Battalion and 128th
9Infantry in 2005 as a combat medic; and
SJR100,1,1110 Whereas, Anthony was also deployed to Iraq as a trauma specialist in 2009 with
11the 108th Forward Support Company; and
SJR100,1,1312 Whereas, in 2012, Anthony was deployed once more as a combat medic to
13Afghanistan with the 1st Battalion, 121st Field Artillery; and
SJR100,2,514 Whereas, during his devoted service as Staff Sergeant to the United States and
15the State of Wisconsin, Anthony earned several awards and decorations, such as the

1Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal,
2Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal,
3Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal,
4Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Combat Action Badge, and Drill Sergeant
5Identification Badge; and
SJR100,2,86 Whereas, Anthony served the State of Wisconsin nobly as a State Trooper,
7earning the Wisconsin State Patrol's Lifesaving Award in 2015 for saving a citizen's
8life though cardiopulmonary resuscitation; and
SJR100,2,99 Whereas, Anthony's death in service marks a great loss to the community; and
SJR100,2,1110 Whereas, Anthony leaves behind a commendable legacy of dedicated service to
11the citizens of the State of Wisconsin; now, therefore, be it
SJR100,2,14 12Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the
13Wisconsin State Legislature commemorate Anthony J. Borostowski's life and
14faithful service to the United States and the state of Wisconsin; and, be it further
SJR100,2,16 15Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint
16resolution to the family of Anthony J. Borostowski.
