This bill requires the Department of Transportation to erect and maintain a
total of four directional signs for the Chippewa Valley Veterans Tribute in Eau Claire
County.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

1. 86.19 (1g) (em) of the statutes is created to read:

(1g) (em) 1. Subject to subd. 2., the department shall erect and maintain
52 directional signs along northbound and southbound USH 53 and 2 directional signs
6along the exit ramps that correspond to the signs along the main roadway for the
7Chippewa Valley Veterans Tribute in Eau Claire County.

12. No later than 6 months following receipt of sufficient contributions from
2interested parties, including any county, city, village, or town, to cover the costs of
3fabricating, erecting, and maintaining the signs specified in subd. 1., the department
4shall erect and maintain the signs. No state funds, other than from the receipt of
5contributions under this subdivision, may be expended for the fabrication, erection,
6or maintenance of the signs.
