2021 WISCONSIN ACT
An Act to create 36.11 (44) of the statutes; relating to: courses satisfying University of Wisconsin System core general education requirements.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
AB884,1 Section 1. 36.11 (44) of the statutes is created to read:
36.11 (44) Core general education courses; diversity or ethnic studies. (a) In this subsection, “core general education courses” has the meaning given in s. 36.31 (2m) (a) 2.
(b) The board shall ensure that, if any institution requires that core general education courses include a course in diversity or ethnic studies, this requirement may be satisfied by a student's successful completion of a course in the U.S. Constitution, including the Bill of Rights.
