ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 2009 ASSEMBLY BILL 276

AB276-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB276-AA1,1,2 1. Page 3, line 12: delete lines 12 and 13 and substitute:

AB276-AA1,1,3 " Section 3m. Nonstatutory provisions.

AB276-AA1,1,8 (1) Notwithstanding section 15.91 (2) of the statutes, as created by this act, any person serving as a citizen member of the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System on the effective date of this subsection may continue to hold office and exercise the powers and duties of that office until his or her successor is appointed and qualified.

AB276-AA1,1,12 (2) Notwithstanding section 15.91 (2) of the statutes, as created by this act, the governor shall make appointments to the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System so as to bring the membership of the board into compliance with section 15.91 (2) of the statutes, as created by this act, by January 1, 2012.".
