ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 2, TO 2009 ASSEMBLY BILL 342

AB342-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB342-AA2,1,2 1. Page 2, line 6: after that line insert:

AB342-AA2,1,3 "(am) "Golf cart" has the meaning given in s. 23.33 (11p) (a) 2.".

AB342-AA2,1,8 2. Page 2, line 7: delete "has the meaning given in s. 23.33 (11m) (a) 2." and substitute "means an engine-driven device having a gross weight of more than 700 pounds but not more than 1,999 pounds that is designed to travel on 4 or more low pressure tires, is equipped with a cargo area, and is used primarily off a highway. "Lightweight utility vehicle" does not include a golf cart or a low-speed vehicle.".

AB342-AA2,1,9 3. Page 2, line 7: after that line insert:

AB342-AA2,1,10 "(bg) "Low pressure tire" has the meaning given in s. 23.33 (11p) (a) 3.

AB342-AA2,1,11 (br) "Low-speed vehicle" has the meaning given in s. 23.33 (11p) (a) 4.".

AB342-AA2,1,13 4. Page 2, line 13: delete "s. 23.33 (11m)" and substitute "ss. 23.33 (11p) and 346.94 (21) (b) and (c), and subject to sub. (4)".

AB342-AA2,2,4 5. Page 3, line 1: delete "from his or her home" and substitute ", in one direction, from the location where the person commenced operation of the lightweight utility vehicle for the purposes, or while engaging in an activity, specified in par. (a)".

AB342-AA2,2,5 6. Page 3, line 4: delete "of".

AB342-AA2,2,7 7. Page 3, line 5: delete "daylight" and substitute "from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset".

AB342-AA2,2,8 8. Page 3, line 14: after that line insert:

AB342-AA2,2,12 "(4) In addition to the requirements under sub. (2) (a) to (d), operation of a lightweight utility vehicle on a forest road under the exclusive jurisdiction of the U.S. forest service is subject to all applicable requirements and restrictions under 36 CFR 212, 251, 261, and 295.".
