AB734-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB734-AA2,1,3 1. Page 4, line 23: delete the material beginning with "unless" and ending with "received." on page 5, line 10.

AB734-AA2,1,4 2. Page 5, line 11: before that line insert:

AB734-AA2,1,5 " Section 6m. 66.1039 (4) (t) of the statutes is created to read:

AB734-AA2,1,9 66.1039 (4) (t) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, an authority created under sub. (2) (d) may be funded from rail development bonds and federal aid previously allocated for high-speed rail passenger service between the cities of Milwaukee and Madison.".

AB734-AA2,1,12 " Section 8m. 77.708 (1) of the statutes, as affected by 2009 Wisconsin Act 28, section 1858b, is amended to read:

AB734-AA2,2,6 77.708 (1) A transit authority created under s. 66.1039, except a transit authority created under s. 66.1039 (2) (d), may, by resolution under s. 66.1039 (4) (s), may impose a sales tax and a use tax under this subchapter at a rate not to exceed 0.5 percent of the sales price or purchase price. Those taxes may be imposed only in their entirety. The resolution shall be effective on the first day of the first calendar quarter that begins at least 120 days after the adoption of the resolution.".
