AB761-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB761-AA1,1,2 21. Page 2, line 1: delete lines 1 to 18 and substitute:
AB761-AA1,1,4 3" Section 1g. 348.27 (9) (a) of the statutes is renumbered 348.27 (9) (a) 1.
4(intro.) and amended to read:
AB761-AA1,1,75 348.27 (9) (a) 1. (intro.) The department may issue annual or consecutive
6month permits, for the transportation on a vehicle or combination of vehicles of loads
7exceeding statutory length or weight limitations, that authorize all of the following:
AB761-AA1,1,10 8a. The transportation of loads over any class of highway for a distance not to
9exceed 11 miles from the Michigan-Wisconsin state line, except that a vehicle or
10combination of vehicles transporting

AB761-AA1,2,4 11b. The transportation of exclusively peeled or unpeeled forest products cut
12crosswise, wood chips, or forestry biomass may operate under such a permit
13anywhere upon USH 2 in Iron County or Ashland County or upon USH 2 in Bayfield

1County from the Ashland County line through Hart Lake Road if the vehicle or
2combination of vehicles is traveling between this state and Michigan and does not
3violate length or weight limitations established, as of April 28, 2004, under Michigan
4law.
AB761-AA1,2,8 52. If the roads desired to be used by the applicants an applicant for a permit
6under this paragraph
involve streets or highways other than those within the state
7trunk highway system, the application shall be accompanied by a written statement
8of route approval by the officer in charge of maintenance of the other highway.
AB761-AA1, s. 1r 9Section 1r. 348.27 (9) (a) 1. c. of the statutes is created to read:
AB761-AA1,2,1210 348.27 (9) (a) 1. c. The transportation of exclusively peeled or unpeeled forest
11products cut crosswise, wood chips, or forestry biomass upon USH 2 from STH 13 in
12the city of Ashland through Hart Lake Road in Bayfield County.".
