ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 2, TO 2009 ASSEMBLY BILL 808

AB808-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB808-AA2,1,2 1. Page 4, line 5: after that line insert:

AB808-AA2,1,5 "3. Choose not to comply with the requirement of the achievement guarantee contract to reduce class size to 15 or with the adjustment to class size permitted under subd. 1. in grade 2 or 3, or both, in any school.".

AB808-AA2,1,7 2. Page 4, line 7: delete that line and substitute "into under sub. (3) (at) may do any of the following:

AB808-AA2,1,8 1. Combine 2 classes subject to the class size limitation in".

AB808-AA2,1,9 3. Page 4, line 9: after that line insert:

AB808-AA2,1,11 "2. Choose not to comply with the requirement of the achievement guarantee contract to reduce class size to 18 in grade 2 or 3, or both, in any school.".

AB808-AA2,1,12 4. Page 4, line 17: after that line insert:

AB808-AA2,1,13 " Section 8m. 118.43 (6) (b) 9. of the statutes is amended to read:

AB808-AA2,2,8 118.43 (6) (b) 9. In the 2005-06 and 2006-07 school years, $2,000 multiplied by the number of low-income pupils enrolled in grades eligible for funding in each school in the school district covered by renewals of contracts under sub. (2) (g); and in the 2007-08 school year and any subsequent school year, $2,250 multiplied by the number of low-income pupils enrolled in grades eligible for funding , and in classes in which the class size satisfies the requirement under sub. (3) (a), (am), (ar), or (at), or sub. (3m) (a) 1. or 2. or (b) 1., in each school in the school district covered by renewals of contracts under sub. (2) (g).".

AB808-AA2,2,11 "(2) This act first applies to state aid distributed under section 118.43 (6) (b) of the statutes in the 2010-11 school year.".
