SB562-SA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
SB562-SA1,1,2 21. Page 1, line 2: after "limitations" insert "and overweight permits".
SB562-SA1,1,3 32. Page 3, line 7: after that line insert:
SB562-SA1,1,4 4" Section 1m. 348.25 (7) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB562-SA1,1,95 348.25 (7) The Subject to s. 348.27 (9m) (d), the officer or agency which issued
6a permit may, for good cause, suspend or revoke such permit or may decline to issue
7additional permits or may decline to authorize the use of a telephone call-in
8procedure for any applicant after having given the permittee or applicant reasonable
9opportunity for a hearing.".
SB562-SA1,1,10 103. Page 4, line 4: after that line insert:
SB562-SA1,1,11 11" Section 3m. 348.27 (9m) (d) of the statutes is created to read:
SB562-SA1,1,1312 348.27 (9m) (d) 1. The department shall suspend a permit issued under par.
13(a) 4. if the person operating under the permit does any of the following:
SB562-SA1,2,2
1a. Violates any weight limitation specified in the permit more than 2 times
2during the valid period of the permit.
SB562-SA1,2,43 b. Violates any weight limitation specified in the permit by exceeding the
4weight limitation by 10,000 or more pounds.
SB562-SA1,2,85 2. The suspension under subd. 1. shall be for a period of 6 months. If the
6remaining valid period of the permit at the time of the suspension is less than 6
7months, the person may not apply for, or operate under, any other permit issued
8under par. (a) 4. for a period of 6 months from the suspension.".
