The Senate was called to order by Senator Fred Risser.

The Senate stood for the prayer which was offered by Bhai Mohinder Singh from the Sikh Religious Society in Milwaukee.
The Senate remained standing and Senator Ellis led the Senate in the pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.
Senator Chvala, with unanimous consent, asked to be added as a coauthor of Senate Joint Resolution 56.
Senator Chvala, with unanimous consent, asked that Senate Bill 378 be withdrawn from the committee on Judiciary, Consumer Affairs, and Campaign Finance Reform and referred to the committee on Environmental Resources.
Senator Welch, with unanimous consent, asked to be added as a cosponsor of Assembly Joint Resolution 79.
