To the Honorable, the Assembly:
Wisconsin State Statute, § 97.34 (2)(e), requires the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection to compile and publish an annual bottled drinking water report. It is a compilation of the laboratory results for bottled drinking water sampled in the State of Wisconsin in January 2002. The samples were collected from bottled water processors and retail distribution sites in the state. The collection and analysis is a coordinated effort by the Bureau of Food Safety and Inspection, the Bureau of Laboratory Services Groundwater Unit and the Wisconsin Laboratory of Hygiene.
