SUBJECT: Senate Bill 437 Vote (50-47)
On April 22, 2010, the Wisconsin Assembly passed Senate Bill 437, which gives the state superintendent more authority over school districts. Due to a family medical emergency, I was granted a leave of absence, and therefore was not present for the vote. Had I been present, I would have voted against this legislation.
