Moved by Senator Carpenter, seconded by Representative Hesselbein that Senator LeMahieu’s motion be amended with the following statement of public policy:  The Joint Survey Committee disapproves of the public policy of not subjecting Luxury Boxes at the Milwaukee Sports Arena to the state sales tax, and recommends that this be addressed as an amendment to the bill be recommended for adoption.

Moved by Senator Carpenter, seconded by Representative Hesselbein that Senator LeMahieu’s motion be amended with the following statement of public policy:  The Joint Survey Committee supports the current public policy that a surcharge is added to each ticket to support maintenance of the current Arena (the Bradley Center), and recommends that such policy continue with the new arena, however that such surcharges be broadened to cover payment of the bonds issued for the Arena, that the surcharges be progressive as to the price of the ticket, and that this be specifically addressed as an amendment to the bill be recommended for adoption

Moved by Senator LeMahieu, seconded by Senator Tiffany that the Joint Survey Committee on Tax Exemptions issue its reports on Senate Bill 209 and Assembly Bill 279 with the following public policy statement:  The Joint Survey Committee on Tax Exemptions finds that there is appropriate public policy on the tax exemptions in Senate Bill 209 and Assembly Bill 279 be recommended for adoption.
