SB96,1,2 1An Act to repeal 118.045 and 118.38 (1) (a) 8.; and to amend 119.04 (1) of the
2statutes; relating to: the commencement of fall classes in public schools.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
With certain exceptions, current law prohibits a school district from beginning
fall classes until September 1. Beginning in the 2018-19 school year, this bill
eliminates this prohibition.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB96,1 3Section 1. 118.045 of the statutes is repealed.
SB96,2 4Section 2. 118.38 (1) (a) 8. of the statutes is repealed.
