This bill requires the Technical College System Board to make grants to
technical college district boards in areas with nurse aide shortages to expand access
to nurse aide training.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
20.005 (3) (schedule) of the statutes: at the appropriate place, insert 5
the following amounts for the purposes indicated:

(a) In this subsection, “nurse aide” has the 6
meaning given in s. 146.40 (1) (d).
(b) From the appropriation under s. 20.292 (1) (em), the board shall award 8
grants to district boards in areas with nurse aide shortages to expand access to nurse 9

publication of the 2019 biennial budget act, whichever is later.
