Notice of Submittal of Proposed Rule to
Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse
On March 20, 2023, the Department of Natural Resources submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Clearinghouse pursuant to s. 227.15 (1), Wis. Stats.
Analysis
The proposed rules affect Chapters NR 102, 103, 106, 207, 212, and 216 for the purpose of updating Wisconsin’s water quality antidegradation policy and procedures.
Statement of Scope
The scope statement for this rule, SS 051-21, was approved by the Governor on May 13, 2021, published in Register No. 785B on May 24, 2021, and approved by the Natural Resources Board on August 11, 2021.
Agency Procedure for Promulgation
A public hearing is required and will be held on May 12, 2023.
