AB637-AA2,1,9 20.145 (1) (c) Interstate insurance receivership commission assessment — state funds. The amounts in the schedule to pay 25% of this state's portion of the annual assessment levied by the interstate insurance receivership commission under s. 601.59 (10) (c).

AB637-AA2, s. 2m Section 2m. 20.145 (1) (j) of the statutes is created to read:

AB637-AA2,2,5 20.145 (1) (j) Interstate insurance receivership commission assessment — insurer assessments. All moneys received in insurer assessments under s. 601.595 to pay 75% of this state's portion of the annual assessment levied by the interstate insurance receivership commission under s. 601.59 (10) (c).".

AB637-AA2,2,20 601.595 Funding for interstate insurance receivership commission annual assessment. From the appropriations under s. 20.145 (1) (c) and (j), the commissioner shall pay the annual assessment levied on this state by the interstate insurance receivership commission under s. 601.59 (10) (c). The commissioner shall impose an assessment on all licensed insurers in an amount sufficient to cover 75% of the annual assessment under s. 601.59 (10) (c). The commissioner shall deposit all moneys received in insurer assessments under this section in the appropriation account under s. 20.145 (1) (j). If the amounts appropriated under s. 20.145 (1) (c) are insufficient to cover 25% of the annual assessment under s. 601.59 (10) (c), the commissioner shall request additional funding under s. 13.101 to supplement the appropriation under s. 20.145 (1) (c). Notwithstanding s. 13.101 (3) (a) 1., the joint committee on finance may supplement the appropriation in an amount not exceeding $10,000 per fiscal year, and is not required to find that an emergency exists.".
