SENATE AMENDMENT 1, To 1995 SENATE BILL 39

SB39-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB39-SA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 2: after "utility" insert: "and to a sales tax exemption for central office telecommunications equipment".

SB39-SA1,1,4 2. Page 1, line 3: before that line insert:

SB39-SA1,1,5 " Section 1g. 77.54 (24g) of the statutes is created to read:

SB39-SA1,1,9 77.54 (24g) The gross receipts from the sale of and the storage, use or other consumption of apparatus, equipment and electrical instruments, other than station equipment, in central offices of telephone companies, used in transmitting traffic and operating signals.".

SB39-SA1,1,10 3. Page 1, line 3: delete " Section 1." and substitute "Section 1m.".

SB39-SA1,1,11 4. Page 1, line 4: after that line insert:

SB39-SA1,1,13 " Section 2g. Effective dates. This act takes effect on the day after publication, except as follows:

SB39-SA1,2,3 (1) The treatment of section 77.24 (24g) of the statutes takes effect on the effective date in the 1995-97 biennial budget act relating to the repeal of section 77.54 (24) of the statutes, if that act repeals section 77.54 (24) of the statutes.".
