SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2003 SENATE BILL 250

November 5, 2003 - Offered by Senator Carpenter.

SB250-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB250-SA1,1,4 1. Page 1, line 5: delete "granting bonding authority, and making appropriations" and substitute ", funding for legislative operations, and making an appropriation".

SB250-SA1,1,6 2. Page 2, line 14: delete "$3,000,000 in general fund supported borrowing" and substitute "the expenditure of not more than $3,000,000".

SB250-SA1,1,8 3. Page 3, line 1: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with page 4, line 12, and substitute:

SB250-SA1,1,10 " Section 3m. 20.005 (3) (schedule) of the statutes: at the appropriate place, insert the following amounts for the purposes indicated: - See PDF for table

SB250-SA1, s. 4m Section 4m. 20.867 (6) of the statutes is created to read:

SB250-SA1,2,5 20.867 (6) Hmong cultural center. (a) Hmong cultural center construction. As a continuing appropriation, the amounts in the schedule for the building commission to provide for the construction of a Hmong cultural center in the city of Milwaukee.

SB250-SA1, s. 5m Section 5m. 2003 Wisconsin Act 33, section 9106 (1) (am) is created to read:

SB250-SA1,2,20 4. Page 4, line 13: on lines 13 and 15, delete ".... (Senate Bill 44)" and substitute "33".

SB250-SA1,2,21 5. Page 4, line 17: after that line insert:

SB250-SA1,3,1 " Section 6m. 2003 Wisconsin Act 33, section 9133 (1z) is amended to read:

SB250-SA1,3,8 [2003 Wisconsin Act 33] Section 9133 (1z) Appropriation lapses and reestimates. The cochairpersons of the joint committee on legislative organization shall take actions during the 2003-05 fiscal biennium to ensure that from general purpose revenue appropriations for state operations to the legislature under section 20.765 of the statutes an amount equal to $11,840,000 $14,840,000 is lapsed from sum certain appropriation accounts or is subtracted from the expenditure estimates for any other types of appropriations, or both.".
