AB8-AA3,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB8-AA3,1,2 21. Page 1, line 3: before that line insert:
AB8-AA3,1,3 3 Section 1g. 20.435 (1) (gw) of the statutes is created to read:
AB8-AA3,1,54 20.435 (1) (gw) All moneys received from the assessment under s. 146.875 (2)
5for the operation of the statewide drug disposal program under s. 146.875 (1).”.
AB8-AA3,1,6 62. Page 2, line 6: after that line insert:
AB8-AA3,1,7 7 Section 1r. 146.875 of the statutes is created to read:
AB8-AA3,1,13 8146.875 Drug collection and disposal program. (1) The department shall
9establish a statewide drug disposal program, as defined in s. 165.65 (1) (c), to collect
10and dispose of prescription drugs, including controlled substances such as opioids.
11The program under this section shall comply with s. 165.65. The department shall
12seek approval from the department of justice under s. 165.65 (2) to implement the
13program under this section.

1(2) The department shall establish an assessment on companies that develop
2or manufacture prescription drugs for sale in this state to provide funding to
3implement the program under sub. (1).”.
