1(a) In the 2007-09 fiscal biennium, from the appropriation under section
220.395 (2) (iq) of the statutes, the department of transportation shall award a grant
3under section 84.185 of the statutes, as affected by this act, in the amount of
4$200,000, to the village of Rothschild in Marathon County to widen the business
5route of USH 51 in or near the village of Rothschild from 2 lanes to 4 lanes and for
6related improvements if the village of Rothschild applies for the grant and
7contributes funds for the project that total at least $200,000. The provisions of
8section 84.185 of the statutes, as affected by this act, relating to the awarding of
9grants, the amount of grants, and the eligibility requirements for grants do not apply
10to grants awarded under this paragraph.
SB2,109,14 11(b) In the 2007-09 fiscal biennium, from the appropriation under section
1220.395 (3) (cq) of the statutes, as affected by this act, the department of
13transportation shall provide $238,300 to the village of Rothschild in Marathon
14County for the project described in paragraph (a).
SB2,110,2 15(9x) Utility installation cost reimbursement to the city of Crandon. In the
162007-09 fiscal biennium, from the appropriation under section 20.395 (3) (cq) of the
17statutes, the department of transportation shall reimburse the city of Crandon in
18Forest County for a portion of the cost of installing water and sewer utilities across
19USH 8 associated with the development of a Best Western Hotel in the city of
20Crandon. The city of Crandon shall submit to the department of transportation a
21request for reimbursement under this subsection that includes the actual cost of the
22utility installation work described in this subsection and an estimate, determined by
23the city, of the cost of the utility installation work if traffic had been detoured off USH
248 during the utility installation work. The amount of reimbursement under this
25subsection shall be $150,000 or the difference between the actual cost of the utility

1installation work and the city's estimated cost of the utility installation work if traffic
2had been detoured off USH 8, whichever is less.
SB2,110,8 3(9y) Stillwater Bridge project consultant. During the 2007-09 fiscal
4biennium, the department of transportation shall enter into a contract with a
5financial consultant to work on aspects of the financing of the construction of the
6Stillwater Bridge across the St. Croix River between the town of Houlton in St. Croix
7County and the city of Stillwater, Minnesota, if federal funds are provided to this
8state for this purpose.
SB2,110,12 9(10b) Traffic control signals in the town of Albion. In the 2007-09 fiscal
10biennium, the department of transportation shall install traffic control signals at the
11intersection of USH 51 and Albion Road/Haugen Road in the town of Albion in Dane
12County.
SB2,110,21 13(11x) Grants to the town of Pound. In the 2007-09 fiscal biennium, from the
14appropriation under section 20.395 (2) (iq) of the statutes, the department of
15transportation shall award a grant under section 84.185 of the statutes, as affected
16by this act, in the amount of $500,000, to the town of Pound in Marinette County for
17the extension of N. 19th Road to W. 16th Road. The provisions of section 84.185 of
18the statutes, as affected by this act, relating to the awarding of grants, the amount
19of grants, and the eligibility requirements for grants, including a required local
20contribution under section 84.185 (2) (b) 5. of the statutes, do not apply to grants
21awarded under this subsection.
SB2,110,25 22(12t) Reconstruction project in city of Colby. The department of
23transportation shall commence, during the 2008-09 fiscal year, a reconstruction
24project on that portion of STH 13 that is Division Street in the city of Colby in
25Marathon County.

1(12x) Milwaukee County pedestrian bridge and path project. In the 2007-09
2fiscal biennium, from the appropriation under section 20.395 (2) (nx) of the statutes,
3the department of transportation shall award a grant under section 85.026 (2) of the
4statutes in the amount of $100,000 to Milwaukee County for the construction of a
5pedestrian bridge and path at the Milwaukee Urban Ecology Center, if the
6department determines that the project is eligible for federal transportation
7enhancement funds and if Milwaukee County applies for the grant and contributes
8funds for this project that total at least 20 percent of the costs of the project.
SB2,111,16 9(12y) City of Racine streetscaping project. In the 2007-09 fiscal biennium,
10from the appropriation under section 20.395 (2) (nx) of the statutes, the department
11of transportation shall award a grant under section 85.026 (2) of the statutes in the
12amount of $400,000 to the city of Racine in Racine County for a streetscaping project
13on 6th Street between Main Street and Grand Avenue, if the department determines
14that the project is eligible for federal transportation enhancement funds and if the
15city of Racine applies for the grant and contributes funds for this project that total
16at least $100,000.
SB2,111,25 17(12z) City of Kenosha 39th Avenue extension project. In the 2007-09 fiscal
18biennium, from the appropriation under section 20.395 (2) (fx) of the statutes, the
19department of transportation shall provide $950,000 to the city of Kenosha in
20Kenosha County for the extension of 39th Avenue from 18th Street to 26th Street,
21if the department determines that the project is eligible for federal funds provided
22for purposes described in section 20.395 (2) (fx) of the statutes. The funds provided
23under this subsection to the city of Kenosha are in addition to any other funds that
24may be available to the city of Kenosha for purposes described in section 20.395 (2)
25(fx) of the statutes.

1(14qq) Improvement of 85th Street in Kenosha County. Notwithstanding
2limitations on the amount and use of aids provided under section 86.31 of the
3statutes, as affected by this act, or on eligibility requirements for receiving aids
4under section 86.31 of the statutes, as affected by this act, the department of
5transportation shall award a grant of $1,200,000 in the 2007-09 fiscal biennium to
6the village of Pleasant Prairie in Kenosha County for an improvement project on 85th
7Street between 65th Avenue and 51st Avenue in the village of Pleasant Prairie.
8Payment of the grant under this subsection shall be made under the program under
9section 86.31 (3r) of the statutes, as affected by this act, from the appropriation under
10section 20.395 (2) (ft) of the statutes, as affected by this act, before making any other
11allocation of funds under section 86.31 (3g), (3m), or (3r) of the statutes, as affected
12by this act, except for the payment under subsection (3) and is in addition to the
13entitlement, as defined in section 86.31 (1) (ar) of the statutes, to, or eligibility under
14section 86.31 (3g), (3m), or (3r) of the statutes, as affected by this act, of, the village
15of Pleasant Prairie to any other aids under section 86.31 of the statutes, as affected
16by this act.
