1995 WISCONSIN ACT 467
An Act to create 166.03 (5a) of the statutes; relating to: the role of state agencies in emergencies resulting from enemy action or natural or man-made disasters.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
Prefatory note: This bill was developed by the joint legislative council's special committee on emergency government services. The bill codifies and clarifies current practice by providing that, unless otherwise specified by law, the role of any of the state's agencies, including the department of military affairs and division of emergency government, in an emergency under ch. 166 (emergency government) is to assist local units of government and local law enforcement agencies in responding to the emergency.

. 166.03 (5a) of the statutes is created to read:
166.03 (5a) Role of state agency in emergency. Unless otherwise specified by law, the role of any state agency, including the department of military affairs and its division of emergency government, in an emergency under this chapter, is to assist local units of government and local law enforcement agencies in responding to the emergency.
