AB468-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB468-AA2,1,3 1. Page 1, line 2: before the period insert: "and granting rule-making authority".

AB468-AA2,1,4 2. Page 1, line 3: after "is" insert "renumbered 30.635 (1) and".

AB468-AA2,1,5 3. Page 1, line 4: delete lines 4 to 8 and substitute:

AB468-AA2,1,11 "30.635 (1) On lakes 50 acres or less having public access, motorboats may not be operated no person may operate a motorboat in excess of slow-no-wake speed, except when such lakes serve as thoroughfares between 2 or more navigable lakes. The department by rule may modify or waive the requirements of this section as to particular lakes, if it finds that public safety is not impaired by such modification or waiver.

AB468-AA2, s. 1m Section 1m. 30.635 (2) of the statutes is created to read:

AB468-AA2,1,16 30.635 (2) (a) On lakes that are more than 50 acres but less than 71 acres, and that have public access, no person may operate a motorboat in excess of slow-no-wake speed, except when such lakes serve as thoroughfares between 2 or more navigable lakes, if pars. (b) and (c) apply.

AB468-AA2,2,3 (b) The department by rule may impose the requirements under par. (a) to a particular lake if a petition for the rule is filed under s. 227.12 and if the department finds that public safety will be furthered by the imposition of the requirements.

AB468-AA2,2,5 (c) The department may promulgate a rule under par. (b) only if a petition for the rule is filed under s. 227.12.".
