SB144-SA11,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB144-SA11,1,2 1. Page 8, line 15: after that line insert:

SB144-SA11,1,7 "(bm) If a sheriff to whom a firearm was surrendered under par. (a) 2. conducts, either on his or her own initiative or at the request of any other person, a background check of the respondent before returning a firearm to the respondent under par. (b), the sheriff may not charge the respondent any fee for conducting the background check.".

SB144-SA11,1,13 "(bm) If a sheriff to whom a firearm was surrendered under par.
