Assembly Journal
The Assembly met in the Assembly Chamber located in the State Capitol.
Speaker Prosser in the chair.
The prayer was offered by Sister Loretta Dornisch, chair of the Religious Studies at Edgewood College, and a member of the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters.
The Colors were presented by the Madison Area Veterans Honor Guard, accompanied by the music of the 132nd Army National Guard Band Brass ensemble of the Wisconsin National Guard.
Representative Klusman sang the National Anthem, accompanied by the 132nd Army National Guard Band Brass ensemble of the Wisconsin National Guard.
Representative Ryba led the membership in reciting the pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.
Speaker Prosser introduced Representative Schneiders, who spoke to the members from the rostrum on behalf of the State Capitol and the Executive Residence Board to thank those responsible for the renovation of the West Wing of the State Capitol.

Special Guest
Speaker Prosser introduced Professor Norman Risjord, Emeritus Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin- Madison, who presented an Oral History of the Assembly Chamber from the rostrum.
The 132nd Army National Guard Band Brass ensemble of the Wisconsin National Guard performed a rendition of "On Wisconsin".
Speaker Pro Tempore Freese placed "Old Abe" on its pedestal behind the speaker's podium.
A reception in honor of the West Wing renovation followed in the Assembly Parlor.
