Dear Mr. Chief Clerk:
Pursuant to 1995 Wisconsin Act 27, the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) submitted a report, which proposes a permanent funding source for the sustainable agriculture program, for approval by the Senate and Assembly standing committees with jurisdiction over agricultural matters. As Chairman of the Assembly Agriculture Committee, I am forwarding this letter to you, for inclusion in the Assembly Journal, which states the intention of the committee to approve the report.
Out of 14 members on the Assembly Agriculture Committee, ten (Representatives Ott, Ainsworth, Zukowski, Otte, Hahn, Baldus, Reynolds, Springer, Wilder, and Dueholm) voted to approve the report. The four who voted not to approve the DATCP report were Representatives Ward, Skindrud, Olsen and Gronemus.
Thank you for your attention to including this letter in the Assembly Journal.
Sincerely,
Al Ott
State Representative
