The Senate met.
The Senate was called to order by Brian D. Rude, President of the Senate.
The Senate stood for the prayer which was offered by Reverend Tim Bauer of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Houstisferd.
The National Anthem was played by the Viroqua Strolling Strings.
The Senate remained standing and Senator Lasee led the Senate in the pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.
A musical selection was provided by Ms. Shari Sarazin that she composed, based on a poem written by her grandmother, Erma Barrett.

We, J. Curtis McKay, Chairman of the State Elections Board, James E. Doyle, Attorney General, and Cathy Zeuske, State Treasurer, constituting the Board of State Canvassers of the State of Wisconsin, certify that the attached tabular statements, as compiled from the certified returns and recount returns for the 27th Senate District made to the State Elections Board by the county clerks of the several counties of the state, contains a correct abstract of the total number of votes given for the election of candidates for State Senator at the General Election held in the several towns, wards, villages, and election districts in said counties on the Eighth day of November, 1994.
