The 1995 biennial budget established the Council on Workforce Excellence to oversee the planning, coordination, administration and implementation of many of the State's employment and education programs. Appointment to the Council are expected shortly.
In lieu of Workforce Excellence Council report for 1995, the Department is submitting the report of the Human Resource Investment Council, which is its predecessor.

146.53(2), 19
(2)(a)3, 4, 5 and 5m, require the Department of Health and Social Services to submit to the chief clerk of each house of the Legislature the following five reports:
• the state emergency medical services plan;
• recommendation concerning the possible certification and training of emergency dispatchers;
• the financial needs of emergency medical services (EMS) providers;
• a report that explores the consolidation of state EMS agency functions; and
• recommendations concerning EMS training and certification requirements.
Since the subjects of these reports are closely related, the Department is submitting the five reports as one transmittal. Department staff is available if you have any questions or desire any additional information.
