6(a) On or before June 15, 1998, the legislative audit bureau and the department
7of public instruction jointly shall submit a report to the joint committee on finance
8that identifies any available, uncommitted federal revenue that may be used to fund
9the following:

101. The grant for summer school costs under section 20.255 (2) (fs) of the
11statutes, as created by this act, up to $3,000,000.

12. The contracts under section 119.55 (3) of the statutes, as created by this act,
2up to $325,000.

33. The programs under section 119.76 of the statutes, as created by this act, up
4to $2,500,000.

5(b) At the June 1998 meeting of the joint committee on finance under section
613.10 of the statutes, the joint committee on finance shall supplement the
7appropriation under section 20.255 (2) (ec) of the statutes by $2,500,000, shall
8supplement the appropriation under section 20.255 (2) (ed) of the statutes by
9$325,000, and shall supplement the appropriation under section 20.255 (2) (fs) of the
10statutes by $3,000,000, for the purposes specified under paragraph (a) less the
11amount of federal revenue identified for those purposes, as indicated by the report
12under paragraph (a).".

16(4z) Supplemental appropriations. In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of
17the statutes for the appropriation to the joint committee on finance under section
1820.865 (4) (a) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 1997, the dollar amount is
19increased by $5,825,000 for fiscal year 1998-99 to increase funding for the purposes
20specified in Section 9139 (3zd) (b) of this act.".
