The attached report is submitted under section 13.172(2) in accordance with Act 1997 Act 27, Section 9123(12j) which directs the Department of Health and Family Services, in consultation with the Department of Revenue, to develop proposed legislation to create a tax credit for individuals who provide care for elderly persons. The report outlines options to create incentives for individuals to provide care for elderly and disabled persons.
