SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2001 SENATE BILL 29

SB29-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB29-SA1,1,2 1. Page 10, line 1: after "vehicles." insert "(1)".

SB29-SA1,1,3 2. Page 10, line 4: delete " (1)" and substitute "(a)".

SB29-SA1,1,4 3. Page 10, line 6: delete " (2)" and substitute "(b)".

SB29-SA1,1,5 4. Page 10, line 8: delete "subsection" and substitute "paragraph".

SB29-SA1,1,6 5. Page 10, line 9: after that line insert:

SB29-SA1,2,2 "(2) Notwithstanding sub. (1), in counties having a population of 500,000 or more, the governing body of the county or any municipality in the county may by ordinance prohibit the operation of low-speed vehicles on any roadway under its jurisdiction that is designated in the ordinance except to cross the roadway at any location that may be designated in the ordinance. A municipality or county may erect official signs or mark a crossing designated under this subsection only as directed by the department.".
