ENGROSSED RESOLUTION
Relating to: assembly confirmation of the governor's appointment of Senator Margaret A. Farrow as lieutenant governor.
Whereas, the Wisconsin Constitution provides: "Article XIII, Section 10 (2) Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of lieutenant governor, the governor shall nominate a successor to serve for the balance of the unexpired term, who shall take office after confirmation by the senate and by the assembly."; and
Whereas, Governor McCallum has nominated Senator Margaret A. Farrow to serve as lieutenant governor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, That, pursuant to article XIII, section 10 (2), of the Wisconsin Constitution, Margaret A. Farrow is confirmed by the assembly as lieutenant governor; and, be it further
Resolved, That, immediately upon the adoption of this resolution by the assembly, the assembly chief clerk shall transmit a copy thereof to the senate and the governor notifying them that Margaret A. Farrow is confirmed by the assembly as lieutenant governor.
