1An Act relating to: salaries paid to the governor, state senators, and
2representatives to the assembly during the 2003-04 legislature.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill provides that the governor is to receive an annual salary of $122,406
during the 2003-04 legislature and that each state senator and representative to the
assembly is to receive an annual salary of $44,233 during the 2003-04 legislature.
If this bill is not enacted, the governor will be paid an annual salary of $131,768
during the 2003-04 legislature and each state senator and representative to the
assembly will be paid an annual salary of $45,569 during the 2003-04 legislature.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

(a) Notwithstanding section 20.923 (2) (c) of the statutes and any action of the
7secretary of employment relations and the joint committee on employment relations
1relating to establishing the annual salary of the governor during the 2001-03 fiscal
2biennium, during the 2003-04 legislature, the annual salary of the governor shall
3be $122,406.

6relating to establishing the annual salary of each state senator and each
7representative to the assembly during the 2001-03 fiscal biennium, during the
82003-04 legislature, the annual salary of each state senator and each representative
