Grants to Brown County and municipalities. From the appropriation
10under section 20.395 (1) (gs) of the statutes, as created by this act, the department
11of transportation shall award grants totaling $500,000 in January 2003 to Brown
12County, the city of Green Bay, and the village of Ashwaubenon to be used to pay costs
13associated with the CTH "VK"/Lombardi Avenue project in the city of Green Bay in
14Brown County. Grant proceeds under this subsection shall be distributed in
15proportion to the percentage of the costs of the project to be borne by each local
16governmental unit.

20affected by the acts of 2001, the dollar amount is decreased by $878,200 for fiscal year
212002-03 to decrease funding for the issuance of registration plates by the
22department of transportation.

In fiscal year 2002-03, the secretary of administration shall transfer from
24the transportation fund to the general fund an amount equal to the savings realized
25in that fiscal year by the department of transportation as a result of issuing a single
1registration plate for motor vehicles under section 341.12 (1) of the statutes, as
2affected by this act, instead of 2 registration plates. The amount of the transfer under
3this subsection shall be reduced by the sum of $500,000 and, as determined by the
4secretary of administration, the amount of additional costs incurred by the
5department of transportation to implement section 110.08 (5) of the statutes, as
6created by this act.
