ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 2003 ASSEMBLY BILL 21

AB21-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB21-AA1,1,2 1. Page 2, line 5: after "(b)" insert "1.".

AB21-AA1,1,3 2. Page 2, line 6: delete "extending".

AB21-AA1,1,8 3. Page 2, line 7: delete lines 7 to 10 and substitute "of inorganic materials, any portion of which is less than 6 inches in diameter, unless the vehicle is so loaded as to prevent the load from dropping or sifting from the vehicle and the highest point of the load is below the horizontal plane of the uppermost sides of the dump body or of any structural device installed to extend the sides of the dump body.".

AB21-AA1,1,9 4. Page 2, line 11: before that line insert:

AB21-AA1,2,2 "2. No person may load a vehicle or cause a vehicle to be loaded if the person has knowledge that the vehicle, as loaded, will be operated upon a highway in violation of subd. 1. Any person who loads or causes to be loaded, and then operates, the same vehicle in violation of both this subdivision and subd. 1. is subject to only a single penalty under s. 348.11 (1) for such violations.".

AB21-AA1,2,6 (1) This act takes effect on the first day of the 7th month beginning after publication.".
