ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 8, TO ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2003 ASSEMBLY RESOLUTION 3

AR3-ASA1-AA8,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AR3-ASA1-AA8,1,2 1. Page 2, line 7: after "determine" insert ", subject to rule 14,".

AR3-ASA1-AA8,1,3 2. Page 2, line 13: after that line insert:

AR3-ASA1-AA8,1,4 " Section 4L. Assembly rule 14 (1) is renumbered assembly rule 14 (1) (a).

AR3-ASA1-AA8, s. 4m Section 4m. Assembly rule 14 (1) (b) is created to read:

AR3-ASA1-AA8,2,2 Assembly Rule 14 (1) (b) On the request, at a public hearing or executive session or upon written petition, of a majority of the members of a committee, omitting those who have resigned, have been removed, or have died, the chairperson shall schedule for a public hearing or for executive action any proposal or other business referred to the committee or other business identified in the petition, at the customary location and time for action by the committee, on a date no later than 30 days after the request is made to the chairperson.".
