Aside from his family that he cherished, he was most proud to serve his country by enlisting in the U.S. Navy during the Second World War and being part of the military forces that liberated the people of the Philippines.
Senator Kanavas, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Lindy Kemp who has coached Brookfield East High School girl's basketball for 35 years. Last Saturday, her team qualified for the WIAA State Tournament for the fifth time in school history and the first time since 1984. On Thursday, Kemp will coach her 719th game for the Spartans in the WIAA State Quarterfinals.
Senator Lasee, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of the Fifth-graders from Southern Door Elementary and their teacher Cory Vandertie. The Southern Door Elementary fifth graders raised $30,025 for the CP Telethon weekend.
Senator Zien, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Darrol Ottow who passed away this past Monday. Ottow was a County Board Supervisor and was an advocate for many causes.
