AB289, s. 81 Section 81. 569.02 (intro.) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,18,22 569.02 Indian gaming gambling; general duties. (intro.) Under the direction of the secretary of administration, the director of Indian gaming gambling shall do all of the following:

AB289, s. 82 Section 82. 569.02 (1) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,18,25 569.02 (1) Coordinate all of the state's regulatory activities regarding Indian gaming gambling.

AB289, s. 83 Section 83. 569.02 (2) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,19,3 569.02 (2) Function as an Indian gaming gambling liaison between Indians, the general public and the state.

AB289, s. 84 Section 84. 569.02 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,19,6 569.02 (3) Function as a clearinghouse for information on Indian gaming gambling.

AB289, s. 85 Section 85. 569.02 (4) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,19,10 569.02 (4) Assist the governor in determining the types of gaming gambling that may be conducted on Indian lands and in entering into Indian gaming gambling compacts.

AB289, s. 86 Section 86. 569.02 (5) (intro.) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,19,16 569.02 (5) (intro.) On March 1 annually, for each payment of Indian gaming gambling receipts, as described under s. 569.01 (1m) (d), received by the state from an Indian tribe in the prior calendar year, determine the amount to be transferred under s. 20.505 (8) (hm) to the appropriation account under s. 20.835 (2) (ka) by doing all of the following:

AB289, s. 87 Section 87. 569.02 (5) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,19,22 569.02 (5) (a) Dividing the net win in the prior calendar year at all of the Indian tribe's Indian gaming gambling facilities at which pari-mutuel racing is conducted and at which pari-mutuel racing under ch. 562 was conducted on October 29, 1999, by the net win in the prior calendar year at all of the Indian tribe's Indian gaming gambling facilities.

AB289, s. 88 Section 88. 569.02 (5) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,20,3 569.02 (5) (b) Multiplying the number calculated under par. (a) by the amount of Indian gaming gambling receipts, as described under s. 569.01 (1m) (d), received by the state from the Indian tribe in the prior calendar year.

AB289, s. 89 Section 89. 569.03 (title) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,20,5 569.03 (title) Indian gaming gambling security.

AB289, s. 90 Section 90. 569.03 (1) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,20,8 569.03 (1) Provide all of the security services for the Indian gaming gambling operations under this chapter.

AB289, s. 91 Section 91. 569.03 (2) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,20,12 569.03 (2) Monitor the regulatory compliance of Indian gaming gambling operations under this chapter and under any Indian gaming gambling compact entered into under s. 14.035.

AB289, s. 92 Section 92. 569.03 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,20,14 569.03 (3) Audit the Indian gaming gambling operations under this chapter.

AB289, s. 93 Section 93. 569.03 (5) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,20,18 569.03 (5) Report suspected gaming-related gambling-related criminal activity to the division of criminal investigation in the department of justice for investigation by that division.

AB289, s. 94 Section 94. 569.04 (title) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,20,21 569.04 (title) Certification and background investigation of Indian gaming gambling employees and vendors.

AB289, s. 95 Section 95. 569.04 (1) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,21,2 569.04 (1) In accordance with an Indian gaming gambling compact or with the regulations of or an agreement with the national Indian gaming commission, the department shall certify and conduct background investigations of a person proposing to be an Indian gaming gambling vendor and of employees of Indian tribes who are engaged in the conduct of gaming gambling.

AB289, s. 96 Section 96. 569.04 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,21,8 569.04 (3) If the results of a background investigation under this section disclose information that, under the Indian gaming gambling compact, disqualifies the person from becoming an Indian gaming gambling vendor, any certificate authorizing the person to be an Indian gaming gambling vendor that was issued before that disclosure is void.

AB289, s. 97 Section 97. 569.06 of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,21,13 569.06 Indian gaming gambling receipts. Indian gaming gambling receipts shall be credited to the appropriation accounts under ss. 20.455 (2) (gc) and 20.505 (8) (h) and (hm) as specified under ss. 20.455 (2) (gc) and 20.505 (8) (h) and (hm).

AB289, s. 98 Section 98. 895.055 (title) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,21,15 895.055 (title) Gaming Gambling contracts void.

AB289, s. 99 Section 99. 895.055 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,21,20 895.055 (3) This section does not apply to any promise, agreement, note, bill, bond, mortgage, conveyance or other security that is permitted under chs. 562 to 569 or under state or federal laws relating to the conduct of gaming gambling on Indian lands.

AB289, s. 100 Section 100. 895.056 (4) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,21,24 895.056 (4) This section does not apply to any property that is permitted to be played, bet or wagered under chs. 562 to 569 or under state or federal laws relating to the conduct of gaming gambling on Indian lands.

AB289, s. 101 Section 101. 945.05 (1e) (a) 1. of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,22,2 945.05 (1e) (a) 1. An Indian gaming gambling facility, as defined in s. 569.01 (1j).

AB289, s. 102 Section 102. 945.05 (1e) (a) 2. of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,22,6 945.05 (1e) (a) 2. A gaming gambling establishment located on lands acquired after October 17, 1998, by the U.S. secretary of the interior in trust for the benefit of an Indian tribe.

AB289, s. 103 Section 103. 945.05 (1e) (b) 2. of the statutes is amended to read:

AB289,22,10 945.05 (1e) (b) 2. A nonprofit or public educational institution that provides an educational program for which it awards a bachelor's or higher degree for the use in a casino gaming gambling management class.
