(1bm) "Agricultural biotechnology" means the application of
8technologies, including recombinant deoxyribonucleic acid techniques,
9biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, genetics, genetic engineering,
10biological cell fusion techniques, and new bioprocesses, that use living organisms or
11parts of organisms to produce or modify products to improve plants or animals used
1in agriculture, develop microorganisms for specific agricultural uses, identify
2targets for small molecule pharmaceutical development for agricultural use, or
3transform biological systems into useful agricultural processes and products.
