Announcements, Adjournment Honors, and Remarks Under Special Privilege
Senator Kedzie, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of his constituents in the Town of Wheatland in Kenosha County who were devastated by a tornado that struck the area on January 7, 2008. The tornado destroyed 26 homes and damaged about 100 more.
Senator Kedzie, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of the area fire departments, rescue squads, state and local law enforcement agencies, volunteers, business organizations, contractors, Kenosha County officials, and Town of Wheatland representatives who dedicated their time, energy and resources to this tremendous response and clean up effort.
Senator Kedzie, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of his uncle Henry Kadzielawski of Junction City, WI who passed away January 5, 2008. “Hank" along with his father instilled in him a deep appreciation for the outdoors including the recreational opportunities of hunting and fishing. He was his hunting buddy for more than 30 years as well as a frequent fishing partner. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
