The Honorable, the Senate:
Robert Chicks, President of the Stockbridge-Munsee Community and President of the Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council will address the Wisconsin State Assembly for the 4th Annual State of the Tribes Address on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at 12:00 p.m. I would like to take this opportunity to invite the members of the State Senate to join us for this historic event.
The State of the Tribes Address is a wonderful opportunity to enhance the relationship between state and tribal lawmakers and provide a better appreciation of the challenges our governments must face. It will also offer legislators an occasion to share in the rich culture and heritage of our Native Americans.
I look forward to welcoming the State Senate to the Assembly Chambers for the State of the Tribes Address. Please let me know if your members will be in attendance so we can ensure adequate seating arrangements.
Sincerely,
MIKE HUEBSCH
