1An Act relating to: grants for bicycle and pedestrian facilities and making an

Under current law, the Department of Transportation may make grants to
counties, cities, villages, or towns to assist in the planning, development, and
construction of bicycle and pedestrian facilities. This bill increases funding for those

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
(1) Bicycle and pedestrian facilities grants.
In the schedule under section 5
20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of transportation 6
under section 20.395 (2) (oq) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 2011, the dollar 7
amount is increased by $2,500,000 for the first fiscal year of the fiscal biennium in
which this subsection takes effect to increase funding for bicycle and pedestrian 2
facilities grants. In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the 3
appropriation to the department of transportation under section 20.395 (2) (oq) of the 4
statutes, as affected by the acts of 2011, the dollar amount is increased by $2,500,000 5
for the second fiscal year of the fiscal biennium in which this subsection takes effect 6
to increase funding for bicycle and pedestrian facilities grants.
