(hf) Tier A-1 transit operating aids supplement, state funds.

59.60 (7f) Milwaukee County budget cap savings; transit aids.
(a) With regard 2
to a county to which sub. (7e) applies, the treasurer of such a county shall calculate 3
for that county the difference between the total amount of budgeted expenditures 4
related to the compensation of county board members, and to any other costs that are 5
directly related to the operation and functioning of the county board, including staff 6
for the fiscal year before the first fiscal year in which the 0.4 percent budget cap 7
limitations described in sub. (7) take effect, and the total amount of budgeted 8
expenditures related to the compensation of county board members, and to any other 9
costs that are directly related to the operation and functioning of the county board, 10
including staff for the first fiscal year in which the limitations described in sub. (7) 11
take effect. The amount that the treasurer so calculates, from the county portion of 12
the tax levy, shall be deposited in the appropriation account under s. 20.395 (1) (hf) 13
to be used for transit aids.
(b) In each fiscal year following the year in which the deposit in the 15
appropriation account described in par. (a) is made, an equal amount shall be 16
transferred from the general fund to the appropriation account under s. 20.395 (1) 17
(hf) to be used for transit aids.".

applicant described in subd. 6. cm. the amount of aid specified in subd. 6. cm. and the
22amount appropriated under s. 20.395 (1) (hf).
