Dear Speaker Vos:
Under Assembly Rule 9 (c), the minority leader is charged with nominating minority members for appointment by the Speaker to legislative standing committees. This letter is to make nominations to the newly created State Affairs and Government Operations Committee, pursuant to Assembly Resolution 19, and revise nominations made earlier this session.
I nominate Representatives Christine Sinicki (ranking), JoCasta Zamarripa, Janis Ringhand, Fred Kessler, Robb Kahl, and Brett Hulsey to serve on the State Affairs and Government Operations Committee.
I would like to replace Representative Sandy Pasch on the Assembly Committee on Urban Education. I would like to add Representative Mandy Wright to the committee and have her serve as the ranking member of that committee.
If you have any follow-up questions or if I can be of any additional assistance on this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Peter W. Barca
